The National Center for Meteorology warned of extremely hot weather in parts of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, with temperatures expected to rise to around 50 degrees Celsius, amid the continued impact of hot summer weather on the region.
The warnings include a number of areas in the Eastern Province, including Al-Ahsa, Al-Udayd, Buqayq, Jubail, Al-Khobar, Dammam, Dhahran, Qatif, Ras Tanura, Al-Khafji, Al-Nairiyah, and Qaryat Al-Ulya, where high temperatures are expected during the daytime.
As the hot weather intensifies, it is advisable to take preventive measures, such as avoiding direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours, drinking plenty of fluids, and being aware of the symptoms of heat stress, especially for those working in open areas.
The Eastern Province is usually affected during the summer by high temperatures due to its geographical location and proximity to desert areas, in addition to the dominance of summer weather systems that raise temperatures to high levels.
