Scenes of baby spotted dolphins swimming in the Red Sea near Jeddah

Weather of Arabia - The mission of the National Center for Wildlife Development monitored a number of baby spotted dolphins swimming next to their mothers in the waters of the Red Sea near the city of Jeddah.

The official account of the Saudi Center published a charming video clip showing the new guest in the waters of the Red Sea, noting that they usually live in groups of up to 80 dolphins.

This wonderful scene was part of the “Decade Expedition” project launched by the National Center for Wildlife Development with the aim of exploring the Red Sea and its marine life.

With the “Journey of the Decade,” the center aims to explore the wonders of the Red Sea after conducting a comprehensive 3D exploratory survey. So far, the mission has succeeded in monitoring many discoveries, including blue holes and diverse biological environments.

These efforts come in line with the center’s goals in exploring the Red Sea, as it is scheduled to organize a symposium entitled “The Journey of the Decade” to explore the Red Sea in Riyadh. This symposium aims to present the results of comprehensive scientific exploration of the unique marine ecosystems in the Red Sea.

During the voyage, more than 800 biologically diverse specimens were collected, and more than 62,758 maps of the Red Sea floor were drawn. It has used manned submarines to conduct more than 44 expeditions, in addition to completing more than 133 expeditions using remote-controlled submarines.

About 3,783 square kilometers were also surveyed aerially by helicopter, and DNA tests were conducted on more than 2,000 samples, in addition to excavating more than 235 samples of basic deep-sea marine sediments. More than 150 samples of live coral were collected.
