Strong thunderstorms are affecting several areas of the eastern Mediterranean at this time and will intensify tonight.

Arab Weather - The latest satellite images from the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate that several parts of the eastern Mediterranean, specifically Syria, the Jordanian desert, western Iraq, and northern and western Saudi Arabia, will be affected by strong thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain showers and heavy hail, leading to flash floods and water pools in various regions.

During the night hours, the weather instability is expected to intensify in the Levant, and thunderclouds are expected to multiply over wide areas, accompanied by heavy thunderstorms and hail of varying sizes, sometimes large. The thunderclouds are accompanied by what are known as sudden winds, which leads to the formation of dense dust waves.

It warns of the dangers of flash floods and rising water levels in many areas.
