Arab Weather - The Arab Weather Regional Center is monitoring weather developments in the Arabian Gulf and Iraq, with the latest numerical model outputs indicating renewed activity of the seasonal "Bawarih" winds on Tuesday, accompanied by strong gusts of dust and sand.
According to meteorological analyses, these winds originate from southern Iraq, where active to strong northwesterly winds are recorded, with some gusts reaching approximately 70 kilometers per hour, leading to the formation of dense dust waves. The dust resulting from these winds is expected to gradually extend to include three Arab countries:
Weather forecast maps show that the intensity and density of dust will vary from one region to another. Open areas and highways are expected to experience a significant decrease in horizontal visibility, which could impact transportation and air navigation in some areas.
