Weather of Arabia - Civil defense and police cadres in Tafila Governorate evacuated about 70 workers at their garment factories in Arwim and Basirah to their homes.

The civil defense cadres worked to secure a foreign family of tourists who were heading to the city of Petra to the Dana Hotel Inn after its vehicle was suspended, due to the accumulation of snow and the closure of the Qadisiyah Road.

The governor of Tafila, Muhammed Al-Rafaya, said that the concerned agencies work around the clock to maintain traffic and assist citizens, while the mechanisms are still opening roads that are closed from time to time due to the continued snowfall. The governor called on citizens not to go out with their small vehicles that cannot walk on difficult roads due to snow, thick fog and low temperatures.
