Arab Weather - After being absent from the region since the beginning of the current summer, a hot to very hot air mass will reach the Kingdom and the entire Levant region starting next Thursday, August 7, and will develop into a heat wave on Friday, continuing for several days, God willing.
The latest weather map readings from Arab Weather indicate that a high-pressure system in the northeastern Arabian Peninsula will move westward in the coming days, accompanied by an extremely hot air mass that will reach the Levant region toward the end of this week. A heat wave will then develop, affecting most countries in the region on Friday and Saturday, lasting until the beginning of next week.
The heat wave, especially over the weekend, is expected to be accompanied by a significant rise in temperatures, approaching 40°C in Jerusalem, while temperatures are expected to reach 40°C in large neighborhoods east of Amman and exceed that in Damascus, amid extremely hot conditions across various regions.
It's worth noting that the current heat wave is the first since the beginning of the summer and is typical for this time of year. Most of the temperature increases experienced over the past few days and weeks have occurred within the extension of the hot mass located northeast of the Arabian Peninsula.
