Arab Weather - The weather maps at the Arab Weather Center indicate that the Kingdom will be increasingly affected, God willing, by a relatively hot air mass on Wednesday and Thursday, April 15 and 16, 2026. This coincides with an increase in dust levels in the atmosphere at times. There are also chances of thunderclouds forming in the far desert regions, which, if they form, will be accompanied by what is known as sudden and strong winds that cause sandstorms to occur around the thunderclouds.

Tuesday: The Kingdom will be increasingly affected by a relatively hot air mass, with the appearance of medium and high clouds.

Temperatures will continue to rise, becoming 7-9 degrees Celsius above average on Tuesday. The weather will be relatively hot during the afternoon hours, with maximum temperatures ranging between the mid and upper twenties Celsius in various regions, approaching 40 degrees Celsius and reaching 40 degrees Celsius in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, where hot weather will prevail. The winds will be moderate southeasterly, with active gusts that will stir up dust.

Expected weather conditions for Wednesday night/Thursday morning

The weather will be pleasant with the appearance of medium and high clouds, and the atmosphere will tend to be cold during the late night and dawn.

Thunderclouds are expected to develop over parts of the southern and eastern desert regions, extending to the Saudi border, accompanied by what is known as sudden winds that will stir up dust storms around these thunderclouds.

Thursday: Unstable weather conditions will affect the eastern regions of the Kingdom, with a chance of thunderstorms accompanied by opportunities for thunderstorms and sudden strong winds that may cause sandstorms.

Temperatures will rise further, becoming 9-11 degrees Celsius above average. The weather will be relatively hot in most areas and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Parts of the Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions, with thunderstorms expected, concentrated in the east of the Kingdom. It is not unlikely that these storms will extend to some other areas in a limited way.

However, what is distinctive about these thunderstorms is the sudden strong winds that usually cause sandstorms in desert areas in such cases.
