This is how the crescent moon of the second night of Dhu al-Hijjah appeared in the sky of Jordan!

Arab Weather - Arab Weather correspondent Bashir Al-Qudah captured a distinctive photo of the crescent moon of Dhu al-Hijjah a short while ago from the skies of Ajloun Governorate in northern Jordan. The image shows the crescent moon thin and high on the western horizon.

Moon-sighting committees in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and a number of Arab and Islamic countries announced the sighting of the crescent moon after sunset on Tuesday. Wednesday marks the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the month in which Hajj pilgrimage is performed and the Day of Arafah and Eid al-Adha fall.
