UAE | Dense fog expected tonight and Wednesday morning, warning of low or no horizontal visibility

Arab Weather - The latest outputs of the numerical models at the Arab Weather Regional Center indicate the flow of air currents saturated with moisture towards the northern coasts of the country during Tuesday/Wednesday night and Wednesday morning, coinciding with a calm in wind speed, so that conditions are ripe for the formation of fog in some coastal areas, including the capital, Abu Dhabi.

Fog may be dense, and a warning of low or no horizontal visibility in some areas.

God willing, fog is expected to form tonight and tomorrow morning, and it is not unlikely that the fog will be dense, especially in the second half of the week, causing a decrease and perhaps a complete absence of horizontal visibility. The fog forecast includes the northern coasts, including parts of the capital, Abu Dhabi, and the fog is likely to extend to parts of Dubai.

Fog begins to form during the late night and dawn hours, and continues until the morning hours before it begins to gradually disappear due to sunrise and rising temperatures.

The National Center also indicated in the issued report that there is a chance of fog formation and low horizontal visibility, and sometimes no visibility, in some coastal and inland areas, from 00:05 until 09:00 on Wednesday 08/28/2024.
