UAE/Weather Update: Thunderstorms and heavy rain accompanied by hail in these areas

Arab Weather – Satellite images and radar data from the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) currently show active thunderstorms affecting parts of the UAE, particularly the eastern regions, accompanied by varying degrees of rainfall and hail in limited areas.

The National Center of Meteorology's radar also indicates that a cumulonimbus cloud has been detected west of Abu Dhabi Governorate, accompanied by varying amounts of rain and strong winds that will stir up dust and sand locally.

The National Center issued an alert at 12:24 p.m. warning of the formation of cumulonimbus clouds accompanied by active winds that may reach 50 km/h, causing dust and sandstorms. This will reduce horizontal visibility to less than 2,000 meters in some western and eastern areas, and may extend to some inland areas.

The weather warning will continue from 12:10 PM until 9:00 PM on Monday.
