Urgent: Government announcement regarding an official holiday for the Islamic New Year

Arab Weather - The Prime Minister announced that ministries, official departments, institutions and public bodies will suspend their work on Monday, June 16, on the occasion of the Islamic New Year.

The decision comes to give citizens the opportunity to celebrate this blessed religious occasion, while departments and institutions whose nature of work requires them to continue providing their services to citizens are excluded from the holiday.

The Islamic New Year is an occasion for Muslims to commemorate the event of the Prophet’s migration, which marked a pivotal moment in Islamic history and the beginning of the Islamic calendar adopted in many Islamic countries.
