Warning of thunderstorms accompanied by rain approaching the Dead Sea area and the valleys of Karak, Madaba and the southern Jordan Valley governorates

The latest satellite and sensor images show a rapid development of cumulonimbus clouds in the skies of the southern parts of the West Bank in the occupied Palestinian territories, where these areas are witnessing rainfall of varying intensity.

The specialists at the Arab Weather Center reported that the same images show the beginning of the movement of rainy thunderclouds towards the east towards the Dead Sea area, and it is likely that in the coming hours they will affect the Mujib Reserve and areas such as Ghor Al-Dhraa, Ghor Al-Hadithah, Al-Balida Al-Hadithah and the city of Potash, accompanied by rain of varying intensity.

The Arab Weather Center had indicated in its reports issued during the past 48 hours the possibility of the Kingdom being affected, starting from the afternoon and evening of Friday, by a state of atmospheric instability, resulting from the approach of a cold upper trough to the Kingdom’s atmosphere through Egyptian lands, coinciding with the extension of the Red Sea depression, which leads to the formation of thunderclouds and showers of rain.
