Weather forecast: Thunderstorms and strong winds expected on Saturday in several regions

The National Center for Meteorology issued a series of weather warnings, including parts of Makkah, Asir and Al-Baha, including light to moderate rainfall accompanied by lightning, thunder, thunderstorms, strong winds and hail showers.

These warnings will continue until 9:00 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2026, with varying levels of warning between orange and yellow depending on the severity of the weather conditions in each region.

Makkah Region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• Orange alert includes: None
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Ardiyat, Taif, Adham, Maysan

Asir region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• Orange alert includes: Rahal Al-Ma'a, Mahayil,
• The yellow alert includes: Al Majardah, Bariq, Al Namas, Balqarn, Tanomah

Al-Baha region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Makhwah, Al-Harjah, Farghat Ghamid Al-Zanad,

The most prominent expected weather phenomena:

• Light to moderate rain
• High wind speeds and near-zero horizontal visibility
• Lightning and thunderbolts
• Hail fell
• Valleys and torrents

The center called for caution, especially while driving, and stressed the need to keep up with updates.
