What does the weather hold for Ramadan 2026? Initial climate indicators
According to astronomical calculations, the month of Ramadan will last for 30 full days, with Saturday, March 21, 2026, being the first day of Eid al-Fitr, when Muslims celebrate in an atmosphere of family gatherings and joy.
Dr. Mohamed Gharib, Professor of Solar Research at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, had previously explained that “astronomical calculations indicate that the month of Sha’ban is likely to be 30 days,” and added that “the first day of Ramadan astronomically is expected to be February 19, knowing that astronomical studies confirm the birth of the Ramadan crescent before the sighting date, but the duration of the crescent’s stay after sunset on the day of sighting is a decisive factor in the possibility of seeing it.”
In contrast, Dr. Khaled Al-Zaaq, a Saudi weather expert, revealed that the data indicates that Wednesday, February 18, 2026 will be the first day of Ramadan, and the month will be completed with thirty days, so that Friday, March 20, 2026 will be the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
