Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast: 500 grams (sliced fillet)
  • Garlic: two cloves (soft mashed)
  • Shawarma spices: a tablespoon
  • Black pepper: a quarter of a teaspoon
  • Orange zest: 1 teaspoon
  • Yogurt: 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom: a quarter of a teaspoon (ground)
  • Olive oil: a tablespoon

 

Preparation method:

  • Mix the oil, zest of lemon and yogurt in a plate.
  • Add shawarma spices, black pepper, cardamom, and garlic, and stir to mix.
  • Add the chopped chicken and mix well with the marinade, cover the plate and put it in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
  • Take the shawarma from the marinade and put it in a frying pan over a medium heat, stirring for 20 minutes, until it becomes tender.
  • Served with French fries, Arabic bread and garlic sauce, to taste.
