وأضاف البروفيسور خلال الملتقى الجزائري الفرنسي الذي عقد في الجزائر العاصمة حول "مرض السرطان وأمراض النساء والولادة"، أن سرطان الثدي يشهد انتشاراً كبيراً ليس في الجزائر فقط، بل في كل دول العالم.

 

كما كشف بأن هذا النوع من السرطان يُعد الثاني الذي يصيب النساء في الجزائر خاصة ما بين 45 و65 سنة، مشيراً إلى أن الإحصائيات المحلية والعالمية وضعت الجزائر ضمن مجموعة الدول المتقدمة في 2017، في مجال التكفل بسرطان الثدي.
